90210 star Gillian Zinser has crossed over to the dark side.

The naturally blonde actress, 26, showed off her new brunette hair color at An Evening for Cambodian Children’s Fund in Beverly Hills on April 17. Zinser — who’s sported pink hair streaks in the past — recently spoke to Us Weekly about what’s coming up next on The CW’s 90210 (airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST).

“There are some huge changes towards the end of the season. Someone gets married, somebody passes away, there’s a ton of breakups and reconciliations and triangles,” Zinser teased. “My character in particular goes way off the deep end, which has been really interesting to play around with.”

Off camera, things are much less dramatic.

“There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes,” Zinser told Us. “In fact, we always joke that it would make a really great reality show to show the behind the scenes on 90210. What goes on in hair and makeup is far more entertaining that a lot of what’s out there!”

Gillian Zinser has answered Shoe Revolt’s question, “What shoes do you have that kick sex trafficking to the curb?”

Gillian Zinser donated a pair of Senso pale green pumps from her personal closet to Shoe Revolt, an Oregon nonprofit that fights commercial sex trafficking in the U.S. through shoes. The pair is on sale now at www.shoerevoltauction.com.

Zinser studied at New York University before landing appearances on hit shows such as Southland, Cold Case, and Cupid. Gillian also starred in the MTV television film, The Truth Below, and was in the independent thriller Liars All opposite her new 90210 co-star, Matt Lanter. Currently, Gillian resides in both New York and California as she plays her biggest role yet, the carefree Ivy Sullivan on The CW’s 90210. Keep an eye out for Zinser this year, as she will star in her first feature film, The Truth Below. Gillian can definitely be considered a philanthropic celebrity. Be The Match is a movement that engages a growing community of people inspired to help patients who need a marrow or umbilical cord blood transplant from an unrelated donor find a second chance at life. The National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) created Be The Match to provide opportunities for the public to become involved in saving the lives of people with leukemia, lymphoma and other life-threatening diseases.

Numerous celebrities have been supporting ‘Be The Match’ via PSA’s and heavy social – media blasts.

Not long ago, Shaq and LSU Coach Trent Johnson filmed a PSA encouraging African Americans to join the ‘Be The Match’ Registry to help save lives.

And last week, the CW’s 90210 stars Manish Dayal and Gillian Zinser released this PSA to increase bone marrow registry around the US. As the video explains, it’s really easy to swab your mouth and possibly save a life.

Last July, we spoke with Dayal about how he came to be involved with Be The Match.

“It all started with my character Raj on the show (90210). He suffers from a terminal illness. An organization called CureSonia.com reached out to me, which was a mini-grass roots campaign to find a match for Sonia. That turned into a larger partnership and was tied in with my character. We filmed a PSA (not yet released) Be the Match to increase bone marrow registry around the US.”

HollywoodLife.com has new details about the impending tragedy & how it will affect Ivy.

After months away from 90210, Raj (Manish Dayal) is returning for the show’s March 20 episode — but sadly, he won’t be around for long. Ivy (Gillian Zinser) learns that her estranged husband is still battling cancer, and as leaked funeral photos revealed, she only has a small window of time in which to say goodbye.

“It’s a very emotional arc for Ivy and it involves her whole crew of friends,” Michael Steger, who plays Navid, tells HollywoodLife.com. ”It’s pretty dark for a few episodes.”

Michael’s character returns for the March 27 episode, “Blue Ivy,” when Ivy is already deep in depression — as the title suggests.

But Michael says Ivy isn’t the only person rattled by Raj’s tragic death.

“It’s really going to affect a lot of people,” Michael says, adding that Manish was “a great asset to the show” and will be missed on set.
